INTRODUCTION TO THE TOOL

Are you new to The DBS Patient Assessment?
This tool has been developed with the purpose of optimizing Parkinson’s Patient referrals for Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) therapy.

The DBS Patient Assessment is based on the expert opinion of 82 international DBS Neurologists and Neurosurgeons, using the RAND/UCLA methodology.
It is specially designed to guide the referral/general Neurologists to identify the appropriate patients to be sent to a DBS surgical expert center.

The DBS surgical center will determine the appropriateness of the patient for DBS therapy.
The DBS Patient Assessment can be an efficient support tool for Parkinson’s Disease practice management.
